The Head of State honoured the memory of a man devoted to the common good, respected for his experience, his courage and his commitment to ethical values.
As soon as his death was announced, President Guelleh travelled to the Paris hospital where the body lay. He paid his respects there and recited the Fatiha for the repose of his soul.
A major figure in Djiboutian public life, Hassan Omar Mohamed held several senior positions, notably those of Commissioner of Tadjourah and Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior, before joining the Government some ten years ago.
He leaves behind a wife, several children and a deeply grieving family.

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Hassan Omar Mohamed, Minister of Defence in charge of Relations with Parliament, who died in France following an illness.
